Clerks Ratify Contract

Clerks working at 39 UPS Freight terminals voted overwhelmingly to ratify their recently negotiated contract. It included a 3.5% wage increase retroactive to January 2012 and another 3.5% increase in January 2013.

Click here to see the contract that is an addendum to the national UPS Freight Contract.

Locals that have not yet organized UPS Freight clerks are encouraged to do so prior to June 27, 2012 when the card check agreement expires.

There is a one sentence memo of understanding stating that full-time positions will not be eliminated, but no requirement of increasing full-time job opportunities. Part-time casuals, who in some terminals are the majority of the workforce, have no path to full-time status in the contract. That issue should be addressed in the 2013 contract.

Has the pay scale been fixed??? In our great contract it shows all the incoming clerks will make more then the clerks that been here! there are 6 clerks here that arent even at the top of the fulltime pay scale!! that needs to change!! why would you even put that in a contract!?!

We supposed to be one company, one union. We haven't been treated fairly the whole time the union has organized the LTL.

The best contract in the world means nothing if your local and B.A. will not help enforce it or fight for the members.
